✨💎 Skirt Alchemy: Diamanti 💎✨ 🗓 September 26 - October 24 ⏰ Saturdays at 6:30 PM 💫 Early-Bird: $67 by September 16 💫 $80 after September 16 What happens when fabric becomes more than something we move - and becomes something we sculpt? In this five-week Skirt Alchemy series, we’ll explore shape, asymmetry, negative space, stillness, and transformation through the dramatic possibilities of a full skirt. Inspired by “Diamanti,” this choreography plays with the idea of a diamond: something transformed by pressure, beautiful from many angles, and changed by the way it catches the light. Building on the vocabulary of previous skirt sessions, we’ll experiment with creating and breaking shapes, moving within the fabric, revealing one side at a time, changing our silhouettes through turns, and discovering the power of letting the skirt become still while the dancer continues to move. As the choreography develops, small and contained shapes will grow into larger, bolder ones - moving from introspection toward a final sense of strength, endurance, and brilliance. No previous skirt class is required. Movements will be broken down and adapted so dancers can work at their own level while developing confidence, musicality, expression, and their own relationship with the fabric.
